Just Bakery is a program offered by the nonprofit Just Dane, a social justice organization that helps those who have been incarcerated. Students accepted into the program embark on a 12-week educational and vocational training program to learn a variety of skills, including baking. While the program equips individuals with valuable knowledge and experience, Just Bakery is also a fully functioning bakery with a wide variety of delicious treats available for purchase. All of the treats are created by members of the teaching staff and students, and all proceeds go back into the program to continue its mission of education and advocacy.
